To Access QBWIN.LOG on Right Networks or other Hosted Environment

For QuickBooks Desktop Pro/Premier users, you will need to search for the log to access it.

Step 1 –

Click on the Start button on the windows task bar within your Hosted or the Terminal Service environment and select Computer.

Step 2 –

In the upper right corner, enter the qbwin.log in the Search Computer field.

Note: Don not press the Enter key or click on the Magnifying Glass icon.

Step 3 –

Then, a list of qbwin.logs will populate. The one you are looking for, should be the top one and the timestamp will be reflected when you run the verify.

1. If the timestamp is correct, then proceed to step 5.
2. If the timestamp is incorrect, then close out of the Computer window, and repeat steps 1-5, and the qbwin.log with the correct timestamp should appear.

Step 4 –

Double-click on the search entry and then continue with the troubleshooting. Add some additional lines if necessary.

For QuickBooks Enterprise Solution users:-

Step 1 –

In QuickBooks, open the Product Information window by pressing the F2 key or Ctrl + 1 by using the ‘1’ key at the left end of your keyboard.

Step 2 –

In the Product Information window, open the Tech Help window by pressing the F3 key or Ctrl + 2 by using the ‘2’ key at the left end of your keyboard.

Step 3 –

Click on the Open File tab.

Step 4 –

In the ‘Select a file to open’ list, double-click on the QBWIN.LOG.
