How To Enter Your Service Key In QuickBooks

  • This tutorial describes the entire process to enter the service key in QuickBooks, so as to activate QuickBooks payroll purchased from the web or phone.

 

Step by Step Process to enter the service key in your QuickBooks.

 

Step 1:

Go to the top menu bar,select Employees >Payroll >Enter Service Key.
 

Step 2:

  • In the case of an existing payroll subscription, you may see a pop up message appear asking if you wish to add this file to your payroll subscription.
  • If this message is displayed, select an option:
  • Select Skip and move to Service Key window.
  • Select Add File if you have an existing payroll subscription and you want to add this file now.

 

Step 3:

Select the Add button in Manage Service Key window.
 

Step 4:

Input your Service Key and select Next.
 

Step 5:

A pop up with a Confirmation message is displayed that your payroll service has been activated.
 

Step 6:

  • Select Finish.QuickBooks will download the latest tax table and verify your payroll subscription.
