Manage Option In SharePoint 2013 Workflows

In this tutorial, we will learn details of the Manage option that is available with SharePoint workflows.

Following are the options available –

Save as Template :

Save selected workflow to current site’s Site Assets. Go to the Site Assets library to fetch the template that has been saved earlier as a WSP solution file.

Copy & Modify :

This option exists only for reusable workflows. With this option, you can create a duplicate copy of workflow and can even modify the same.

Import from Visio :

Create SharePoint workflow flowchart in Microsoft Visio 2013. Next, import the diagram to SharePoint and create a workflow based on it.

Export to Visio :

You can easily export all of the workflow types (excluding site workflows) to become Microsoft Visio Workflow Interchange (VWI) files.

Associate to List :

This option again exists only for reusable workflows. With this button, you get to see a drop-down of the different lists on site that you can associate with the workflow. By clicking a list name, you can create the association.

Associate to Content Type :

This option is applicable only for reusable workflows. You need to select a site content type in order to associate a specific workflow with it.
