HOW TO DELETE A SITE COLLECTION IN SHAREPOINT 2013
If you want to delete a SharePoint 2013 Site Collection, you just need to follow a few simple steps. Initially, make sure you have access to Central Administration.
Below are the steps for deleting Site Collection in SharePoint 2013 –
Step 1 :
Go to “Application Management”
Step 2 :
Click “Delete a Site Collection”
Step 3 :
In the Delete Site Collection page, select site collection from the dropdown by clicking “Change Site Collection”
Step 4 :
In the Select Site Collection dialog box, select the correct web application.
Also highlight the site collection you want to delete. In our case, we highlighted /sites/HR
Click OK to save changes
Step 5 :
Back in the “Delete Site Collection” page, click “Delete”
Step 6 :
A warning message will pop up asking for confirmation to delete the site and its contents permanently. Click OK to confirm deletion.
