INTRODUCING THE SHAREPOINT TEAM
Though you can select from different site templates whenever you like to create a SharePoint website, the much popular is the Team Site template. A website that was created using the Team Site template is developed & designed with a number of beneficial features for teams. (Therefore the template name, Team Site.)
When you first open your new team site, you can perform multiple of operations. You can save and store your digital documents in the pre-built Documents app, and you can get up and running with other apps using the fancy Pop-Up app.
When mouse is traverse over each tile in the Pop-Up app, then a description pops up, as shown in the Figure 1. When you select and click the tile, you can conduct the operation as described.

The pop-up guidance permits you to
- Get organized with tasks, a calendar, a timeline, and a place to store your digital documents
- Get social with a multiple social networking features
- Share your site among others
- Synchronize your local documents over the cloud in order to access them from any device, from any location and at any time.
Easily by clicking over the tile (icon) takes you through a particular task or function. This is a common feature in SharePoint.
SharePoint frequently tries to be supportive and perform functions for you automatically.
This makes things simpler and user-friendly. However, this may lead to confusion by making you wonder, “What just happened?” Therefore, In order to get familiar with SharePoint, it’s a good practice to know what SharePoint is performing for you. When you observe and realize what it is doing, then, it’s very easy to assume the next possible step and extend default behavior to meet your particular needs.
