Learning to Manage Complete Access Permissions for Exchange 2007 and 2010 Mailboxes

 
For granting access to Exchange 2007 or an Exchange 2010 mailbox, perform the following procedure:
 
First, hide all the screen shorts, also, you should be equipped with the appropriate Exchange administrative permissions to perform this task.
 
Step #1 :
First, open the Exchange Management Console. Now, select the Mailbox for which you wish to grant permission. Then, right-click and choose the ‘Manage Full Access Permission’ menu option.
 
Step #2 :
In the ‘Manage Full Access Permission’ screen, grant entire access permission to the Domain Admins user and then click on the ‘Manage’ button.
 
Step #3 :
In the ‘Manage Full Access Permission’ screen, grant the complete access to the Domain Admins user and click the ‘Manage’ button.

Step #1 :
Open the Exchange 2007/2010 management shell and then enter the syntax given below:

  • Add-MailboxPermission – identity – accessRights fullAccess – User ” \Domain Admins”
  • For Example: To grant full access permission to the Mailbox ‘Steven’.
  • Add-MailboxPermission – identity Steven – accessRights fullAccess – User “MyTest\Domain Admins”
