VMware Announces Availability of its VMware Ready for NFV Certified Solutions
Cloud and Virtualization specialist VMware recently made announcement of its VMware Ready for NFV certified solutions. With this announcement, VMware has displayed its commitment to effectively support Communications Service Providers (CSPs) in adoption & production deployment of absolute Network Functions Virtualization (NFV).
The certified solutions from Check Point, Infoblox, Brocade, Mitel and Netrounds offer full support for following –
• Virtualized mobile infrastructure
VMware Solution Exchange (VSX) contains the list of all of the VMware Ready for NFV certified solutions. These solutions allow partners to easily certify their overall virtual network functions (VNFs) to facilitate interoperability with following two VMware NFV components –
• NFV Infrastructure (NFVI)
• Virtualized Infrastructure Manager (VIM)
The VMware Ready certification brings CSPs in the confidence that all of the VMware partner VNF solutions shall deploy, run, as well as interoperate seamlessly and effectively with VMware vCloud NFV.
What VMware Officials Have to Say!
VMware spokespersons consider 2016 to be the year in which NFV deployment will move from existing proof of concept to absolute deployment. The spokesperson also said that Interoperability between NFV infrastructure, virtual infrastructure manager systems layers and virtual network function can never be an obstacle to deployment.
The VMware official further said that the company would be taking a leadership position with its upcoming VMware Ready for NFV program.
